Hello!

Our dog constantly rips up her beds. All will be good for months and then she does it again. The last one lasted less than a day. She is 5 so not growing out of it any time soon. We had this issue with our previous dogs and I did buy a canvas one online that had pockets inside it to stuff yourself. They had the dog’s names embroidered on them and they were amazing. The company seems to not be around anymore.
Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can buy strong, comfy beds that will survive?

  • Those canvas beds still exist. Maybe search different brands. I think Pet Stock have them

  • My dogs don’t chew their beds, but they like to “dig” in them to make a nest or something. I usually just get ones from Kmart. I believe they have some that are a little more durable, but eventually they do still manage to destroy their beds, I don’t know if there is such a thing that’s indestructible. Have you tried the stretcher style ones that look like mini trampolines? They might be less enticing to chew.

  • I’m yet to find an unchewable product that actually stands up to the claim! My sister found a pet bed with a terry cloth cover and that lasted the longest

  • Following as I would love to know also!

  • I have never yet found an indestructible dog bed 😂 our dachshund chews through anything. Old sheets, towels and blankets in a box last longest, but I’d love to find a raised dog bed she didn’t trash.

  • Just mentioning that I just saw that happy staffy co sells ‘indestructible’ dog beds.
They look to be around $300 so not cheap but could be worth it if you are going through a few? They are the raised off the ground ones though. I’ve never really seen an indestructible soft bed though. Love to know if anyone finds one.

  • Yep! We have a dog just like yours! We couldn’t find a bed but in the end we bought Kmarts chew resistant beds and we got a couple of crates and made him a nice sleep area. He really only has room to sleep and no room for destruction. He absolutely loves his bed and waits at the crate door in the evening to go in.

  • Oh gosh thats terrible. I cant help as to why she’s doing it. If it’s just purely behavioural perhaps seek some guidance from a trainer to see if theres ways to help navigate for her to stop doing this. Otherwise i hope you are able to find some super sturdy beds for her!
