Having dental in pet insurance would be great for accidents. We only get out cats teeth cleaned every few years, as it means putting her under and it’s not something we take lightly. For our cat it was $300 for a clean, but I have heard it’s more for dogs

I honestly didn’t know this was a thing! I think dental cover is probably going a bit over the top. So long as you feed your dog a healthy diet that includes things such as bones and other things they need to chew, dental health shouldn’t be a problem. Failing that, you can get pet toothbrushes, it’s not like you need to brush their teeth every day.

I believe getting pet insurance is such a worthwhile thing to have. Especially if your breed has a lot of common issues or you have an older pet. It can definitely save you thousands when the time comes that it will eventually pay for itself

I’ve never had pet insurance but a neighbour told me of a $20k operations her sons dog had to have after eating rocks etc. Definitely worth having in that case. We have never had an issue with our dog’s teeth but some breeds have more trouble than others. I’d definitely consider it if that was the case.
