Omg this is all too common that i hear many stories about! With then said owner not taking any responsibility for their dog hurting or injuring another pet. It always makes me nervous no matter what seeing dogs off leash as you just dont know what they are capable of

I totally agree with this! I have had my confidence about taking my dogs out ruined so many times due to these issues! My dogs are friendly but the youngest (and biggest) is quite nervous and as he is always on a lead he gets quite frightened if an off lead dog runs up to him. Now I just call out ‘not friendly’ and the other owner panics and runs over to collect there dog. If there is no owner I do everything I can to turn a slowly walk away in another direction and keep the situation calm. It’s so sad people don’t think about others. I mean what if people are frightened of dogs or something

I think this is a really hard situation. There have been times I have yelled at the other owners to remove their dog immediately because they were coming at us in a not so friendly manner. For other dogs who approach I try to keep distance. The owner is giving up all control if things go badly, and I want to remove us from that situation from the start
