Hello!

My groodle’s coat seems to grow so quickly. Currently we groom her 3 times a year but it almost doesn’t seem enough. Her coat gets so matted and dirty especially during the cooler months

  • We are lucky enough to ahve found a fantastic mobile groomer who the dogs love and we can leave powr and water out for – so we dont need to coordinate getting our pups to and from and all the time involved.

  • We have 2 border collies and do a full groom about 3 times a year and have tody grooms every 6-8 weeks. They do get washed half way between tidy grooms as well and fully Brushed out. If we leave it longer than this they seem to get matted.

  • I have been a groomers assistant for 10 years. We see varying schedules from monthly, 6 weekly and 3 monthly. But what your suggesting would be a recipe for matting or you are working over time on the brushing and whatnot at home. The best thing about more frequent grooms is that it doesn’t have to be a full groom but more a maintenance where bathing drying and trimming the hygiene and face.. but from what I see the most common choice is 12 weekly/3 monthly.

  • We have a groodle and our groomer recommends we get him done every 6 weeks. We do tend to stretch it out a bit further in winter though 🙂
