  • My husband and I were both excited at the thought of adding a pet to our family, we both grew up with them. It was him who organized us to adopt and be approved and surprised me with it. I was over the moon

  • My husband had a senior diabetic husky when we met, she was gorgeous but very costly especially with het insulin and special foods, after she passed he was against another dog. I wanted a cat, he thought he hated cats, we got a cat! haha He fell in love then a year later for my birthday he surprised me with another once! We have since added 2 dogs and 8 chickens so yeah he changed!

  • My husband was all for having a cat. It was me that was against it, not that I don’t like cats, it’s just I knew the work that was involved especially as they were going to be indoor cats. We now have two cats that live with us in our big double story house.

  • We’ve both always loved Pets so there has never been an issue. Growing up with them just makes you a pet person or not a pet person. Over the years we have ticked a few off the list that we wouldn’t bother with again lol.

  • I think my partner has always loved dogs – owning one was something we agreed on together though and i love that he has the time to bath and take our dog for walks. But it’s so much work when you have two working parents then you feel the guilt of leaving them alone!

  • My partner was always for having a pet, preferably a dog. He was always for having kids too, lots of kids and dogs. Why was it easy for him to want lots? Because I’m the one he left looking after them, they all become my responsibility, his life goes on as usual. I dont regret my pets or kids, but this is why we only have 2 kids and 2 dogs…..not lots
