Has anyone ever owned a duck? Was it hard to look after? I just think they are the cutest and would be such an adorable pet!! My mum said they poop everywhere and are very very messy so she didn’t recommend it but I’ve seen some seriously cute videos online and I’m wondering if the mess is really that bad?

I didnt even realise it was possible to even own ducks! I always thought they would be like a protected species for the wildlife. But I can definitely imagine them being very messy and a lot to take care of! They would definitely leave a fair bit of mess

Yes, the mesd is REALLY that BAD! They don’t just drop little nuggets, they spray lots of poo. All over the place. It does stink. Only you can decide if the mess is worth it. Think long and hard tho cos it’s too sad if you adopt a duck only to return it cos of the mess
