Hello!

We recently discovered that our dog has a yeast allergy. Over time, he seems to build up yeast infections in his ears and this causes thickening and it becomes very itchy for him. We have tried changes in diet as suggested by the vet, but it seems like he will need to go back for regular injections for his life. Has anyone else had issues like this?

  • Aww poor thing! Im so sorry! No I haven’t got any experience either but I do know that dogs are remarkable and they bounce back from difficulties so quickly. Im sure once you get it under control and avoid trigger etc it will be much easier for you all

  • Aww poor little thing. I haven’t experienced this with our pets. Maybe keep changing their diet. If not, I hope you can make vet visits a positive experience for him so it doesn’t feel like a chore

  • That sounds awful for both your dog and for you to manage! I cant say ive ever heard of this before or know anything about dogs with allergies. Google can be great for answers but also take it with a grain of salt. Perhaps seek another professional opinion?

  • Oh the poor thing. Injections for the rest of his life :(. I hope someone can help you with this. We hate to see them suffer.
