Hello!

We have a dog that is pretty well behaved but gets initial excitement. So first thing in the morning when we let him out, he’s very hypo and barges into everyone or when we come home he jumps all over you. It’s very cute but it’s something we’d like to train him to control better.
Any tips on how to stop this jumping and calm down quicker?
I thought I read you turn your back to it but I’m not sure that’s helping lol

  • I have one like this too. Every time someone visits is he’s always bouncey and too vocal. I’ve tried the ignoring him til he calms down and shutting him outside when I have visitors. I was hoping to see a solution here but looks like I’m out of luck. I hope you get it sorted

  • Haha aw! Gotta love their excitement. Sometimes i think about their point of view. They dont have much in their life and sometimes it’s you they are most excited to see. I have read that it’s about not reacting to their excitement that encourages it.
