Hello!

I have tried a few different toys, mostly from local discount store or Temu. My cat doesn’t seem to be interested in most of the things I have tried and the majority seem to be the kind on a stick that you dangle. I would love to discover something she can play with when I am not at home – any ideas?

  • I’ve never had a cat personally but I do see so many cute toys available for them! I think something weighted down so it doesn’t topple over would be great for your cat when you aren’t home. They have these adorable ones with bendy springs on them and a butterfly attached so the cat can hit it and it will bounce around. I also think anything motion activated! Like a ball which moves when it senses motion! To be honest I would buy these for my pups but I know they would break them in 5 minutes ha ha ha

  • We have tried so many new toys for our cats. My kids are always buying something new. But after a while, the cats get bored of them. One of my cats, Kingston, he loves boxes and paper bags…just make sure to remove the handles so they don’t choke.

  • My cat is definitely the kind who doesn’t engage with most toys. We found a few she actually likes. One is a little robot, like a mini rumba, that has a laser on the front. It randomly moves the red laser light on the ground. It doesn’t run for too long though. A toy she really loves is the weighted, egg shaped treat feeder. She bats away for ages until it’s empty.

  • Do they enjoy toys with little bells or things that rattle that grab their attention? Toys can always be a hit and miss for pets and there will be days they arent interested at all. Perhaps a good scratching post or something similar?

  • Climbing frames with scratching posts with things that dangle from the are always fun.
